Non-invasive diagnostic tools to detect abnormalities within the internal organs.
We are pleased to provide x-rays for our patients. For ultrasound cases, we primarily refer to Dr. Rist. He visits Halifax once a month, and he can perform the ultrasounds for us at our location. If the situation is urgent, we can arrange to refer to another veterinarian.
An x-ray is essentially a black and white photo of your cat’s insides. An ultrasound uses sound waves to generate an image of the appearance of the cat’s internal organs. The best imaging technique to use depends on the case.
Absolutely! Dental x-rays are important for all patients. They help to assess the roots of the teeth and what is going on beneath the gum line. Six dental radiographs are required for every feline patient to assess each tooth accurately.
